Today’s flight took place on Mother’s day May 9, 2021 with friends from the inner west of Sydney, both Filipinos. One grew up in New Zealand and his wife who grew up in the Philippines.
Both have never been in a light plane. Both were nervous, but also excited at the same time.

They were pleasantly surprised when we actually flew over the harbour where the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge is located.
Although we managed to get clearance straight away into the harbour, the approach to land into Bankstown airport was another story. We had 4 other aircraft coming into land with not all complying to the published approach procedures.

Despite coming in fast (to stay ahead of other aircraft), being high in altitude due to being cleared to land late in the approach phase meant that I had to descend quicker in shorter period of time.
It was busy.
