With the several times I have taken Charlie and Jayden on a flight, it has always been local to the airport on my Recreational License.
This trip, Bankstown to Shellharbour was their first trip since getting my PPLA.
I gave the girls the full experience. They helped with weighing themselves and their luggage and I created mock up baggage airline tags.
As always, it was a planned departure of 9am on a Sunday. However, we had delays with the plane. Then we had a runway direction change just prior to us taxiing to the start of the runway which meant more delays. We actually departed 11:30am.
It was a relatively short flight to Shellharbour from Bankstown, but we had to find plane parking where I had to literally push the plane into a spot!
After a 20 min wait and a 15 min uber ride in a Range Rover Sport into Kiyong Beach, we had Fish and Chips for lunch, beach front style.
So…. really we only spent around 1.5 hours at the beach. An expensive beach trip, but the way I look at it. We did it for the experience!
And just like that, another uber trip back to Shellharbour Airport to fly back to Bankstown Airport.
Expensive beach trip? Yes.
An awesome experience? Yes.
Worth the experience? Definitely.
