Charlie and Jayden’s nth time, my Dad’s 2nd time and my Mum’s 1st time in a plane where I am Pilot in Command.
This flight was to be the last flight I was to do before NSW went into lock down for 4 months.
This also happens to be the first flight after getting my endorsement on the 6-seater Piper Saratoga.
The Piper Saratoga differs from usual 4-seater Piper Warrior/Archers by the number of seats, the bigger engine and has a constant speed propeller and heavier.
On this day was like any other day in terms of flight planning, schedule and route of a Sydney Harbour Scenic 1.
Although, the flight nearly did not go ahead, because of my clumsiness. I had dropped the oil cap in the engine compartment and had to undo the cowling to retrieve. If I did not find that cap, we would have not gone ahead with the flight.
