Sydney went into lock down late June 2021.
For just over 4 months, General and Recreational Aviation has been put into hold during lock down, which meant zero flights, not even flight training flight tests.
On October 11, 2021 freedom day arrived after reaching over 80% vaccination in NSW. General Aviation was back on line.
Because I had not done any flights on the same plane type or any flights in any aircraft for that matter for more than 3 months meant I was not recency compliant. Therefore, for my flights for each plane type I am endorsed on, I had to fly with a Flight Instructor.
Off I went.
Got re-checked on the Sling 2, 2-seater light sport aircraft.
Got re-checked on the Piper Warrior/Archer, 4-seater aircraft
Hopefully getting my check flight on the 6-seater Piper Saratoga on the weekend.
