2,000ft all the way from Kiama to Ulladulla!

With the exception of Mackenzie, our birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other. What better way to celebrate by going on our first fly away. While Caleb was at his Dad’s and Charlie and Jayden were at their Mum’s we decided to plan for this fly away down to Moruya.

Moruya airport is situated next to the coast along the beach. The airport has a sky diving operator and a couple of flying schools. The airport also boasts an onsite holiday accommodation, The Seabird.

And yes, you guessed it, we stayed at The Seabird.

On final approach to Moruya the excitement grew as it was evident how beautiful the place is. The runway was long and sealed giving us enough time to relax on approach and take the view in.

Valet parking for planes!

Yep, you read it, we did it. We literally shut the engines down in front of the hangar and pulled the plane in. But wait, it gets better.

A short walk on the hangar floor, across the hallway, open the door and it’s the door to our room!

The Seabird was fairly new with 6 big rooms and a fully functioning common kitchen and lounge area.

The airport is not that close to Moruya town proper and thankfully enough, The Seabird has a courtesy car.

We made full use of the amenities and what was available to us. We brought food all the way from Bankstown to cook and we used the courtesy car to go to the weekend markets.
